2nd Practice: 2 Key Skills
In the following meditation, please come as you are: make-up, no make-up, dressed or undressed, exhausted or energized. Seat yourself in front of your mirror. There will likely be an initial jostle as you find comfort and stillness. But once you start to ground yourself, turn your attention toward your breath as you watch your reflection.
Notice how the mirror reflects the movement of the breath. As you breath in, notice what lifts. As you exhale, notice what falls. The body and mind will be most open in a calm, relaxed state as a result, so take time to allow the breath to reach that ease and flow. An even, full breath is an essential skill to take into every practice.
