Being the Mirror
I first discovered Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche when I was studying dreaming practices in the Toltec lineage and beginning to develop my own Transformational Voicework. I later met him in Santa Fe where I was living at the time. Over the years, he has been a significant figure influencing many of my own practices including how I approach the teaching of meditation to new students using the 3 Precious Pills.
I share this talk titled Being the Mirror, Not the Reflection for obvious reasons! Please listen to the entire teaching and try the practice he offers either with or without your mirror. There are study questions below to answer in your journal afterwards.

Study Questions
Rinpoche asks us to reflect upon the question whether we are the mirror or the reflection. In your journal, list at least 3 ways you are the reflection (or caught up in a single reflection). Be specific with the challenge, pain, conflict or story and the ways each makes you feel. How might you bring more space into each and shift your perspective?
Rinpoche clarifies so well that the mirror makes no judgment. It neither agrees nor disagrees with us but remains neutral and unaffected by whatever it reflects. What is your understanding of mirror-like wisdom? How would you describe it to an interested friend?
